PRESS: Economic ministry raises 2022 CPI forecast to 5.9%
MOSCOW, Feb 8 (PRIME) -- The Economic Development Ministry has raised its forecast for Russia’s 2022 inflation to 5.9% from 4% on orders from President Vladimir Putin, Vedomosti business daily reported on Tuesday quoting a source close to the government.
In late September 2021, Putin ordered the government to amend the social and economic development forecast for 2022–2024 until February 4, 2022.
Vedomosti reported that the updated forecast had been submitted to the government. Another source told the business daily that the indicators of the forecast were flexible and depend on the situation.
